Lovage

6.90

Levisticum officinale

A herb to use as a healthy substitute for salt.

Lovage can be used to reduce the amount of salt in cooking. A few leaves of lovage adds flavour to soups and casseroles much like a stock cube. Lovage can also be used as seasoning in salads. The flavour of lovage is a bit like a deeper version of celery and parsley.

Lovage is one of the oldest garden herbs. Don’t worry if dots appear on its leaves, it’s just a feature, not a defect.
